An asymmetric butterfly mask - scalloped round wings on one side, sharp pointed wings on the other - silver chenille veins strung with rows of baguette crystals, spread mid-flight.

Large butterfly mask of four wings and two long antennae in dark grey-black fine netting, outlined and veined in glittering silver chenille and densely lined with clear faceted crystals, mostly small baguettes following the wing veins. The two left wings are rounder with scalloped edges while the right pair is smaller and pointed; the antennae lean to one side with small crystal clusters at the tips. A row of larger stones runs down the body axis with one big octagonal crystal at the centre.

Worn over the upper face or held as a show piece; the wide wings frame the face for photos and performance.

One side rounds and the other cuts - two halves of one butterfly agreeing on a silhouette.
